Welcome to the Sandy Spring Soccer Club! Founded in March 2022, we have paved the way for many players in Montgomery, Howard, and Prince George’s Counties to excel on and off the field. Our foundation is built on a close knit community located in a small town of less than 3,000 residents, that has become a big family. Our family oriented club has excelled at creating an inclusive learning environment that allows the players to develop to their full potential. Mission:
To contribute to the development of complete soccer players and even better human beings on and off the field in a safe and supportive environment. Ones who excel in the technical, tactical, physical and psychological areas of the game. We also look to instill in our young players positive core values and an excellent work ethic, by providing a platform from which they can succeed at the collegiate and professional levels of play.

To provide the best environment for soccer players at all levels in Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Howard Counties by providing the highest quality player development programs, facilities, coaches, training, competition and leadership.
Excellence in Coaching and Education:
The Sandy Spring Soccer Club (SSSC) is a developmental club that focuses on helping players to mature emotionally, physically and intellectually, on and off the field. Our club helps players to build confidence in their training sessions and in games that will help them to enjoy their youth soccer experience with our club. We focus on the five pillars of play: technical, tactical, physical, psychological, and psycho-social to help players on the field and in their daily lives. The ultimate goal is to prepare each individual player for the long run whether they choose our club for recreational purposes or if they would like to play soccer at the college or professional levels.
SSSC provides youth soccer playing experiences for boys and girls ages 4-17. We offer Recreational and Competitive level competition through our Junior Academy (5-8 year olds), Academy (9-12 year olds), Competitive (13-15 year olds), and Elite (16-17 year olds). We have a player pathway for youth players of all skill levels and a unique club soccer philosophy with emphasis placed on technical skill development.
Community, Leadership, Mentorship, and Excellence in soccer development will equal maximum results no matter what the individual’s desire and potential. This coaching approach makes our players feel worthy, encouraging them to strive for personal excellence. They start to see their own potential as a player and a person, striving to reach their individual goals. Many of our players report that our Club has made them “look differently at the game” and as a result, they look at themselves differently.
Language and Culture:
Montgomery County, MD is one of the most diverse counties in the country. Add to it Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, in addition to the neighboring counties, and we pride ourselves on being a club for all. Our coaches are also diverse as they represent various countries around the world.
International Experience:
Starting at the U-13 level, each summer the club will take selected travel teams to South America. The purpose of the annual trip will be to provide an opportunity fo players to be seen and evaluated, exposing them to a challenging and professional training environment, and to compete internationally. These life changing experiences allow players to become more independent and create everlasting memories
Sense of Community:
Sandy Spring, MD is a small town of only 2,855 residents and our primary practice location of Sandy Spring Friends School is a Quaker school with a community feel and a mantra of “Let Your Lives Speak”. Although many of our players come from neighboring cities such as Olney, Silver Spring and as far west as Gaithersburg, as far north as Columbia, and as far east as Bowie, they all love our community feel.
We believe that a sense of belonging is key to our player’s success. We welcome any player, at any level to our club and there is a pathway of development for everyone. The pace at which each player develops will vary, but no matter what the pace is our coaches will strive to help each player to succeed.
